Less than fifteen Nuxalk language speakers and storytellers remain in Bella Coola, British Columbia, most of them elders. An aspiring filmmaker finds herself resistant to turning the camera on her own grandmother, one of the last speakers of the Nuxalk language. Recording can preserve the stories and the language, but what might be lost?
