Opportunities for Youth

WAFF champions the participation and development of younger, first-time Aboriginal filmmakers. We promote the media arts as a career path to indigenous youth: from providing new and nascent First Nations, Metis, and Inuit talent the exciting and educational opportunity to debut their work before a local and supportive audience, to entry-level developmental workshops, to our annual youth pitching forum.
